Delightful and artistic hand-drawn fine porcelain Tokyomon handleless mug from my Locals Collection. All of the designs in my 'Locals' collection were created exclusively by me for this series. I first hand-draw all of the designs and then digitize them using a tablet. This mug features a Tokyomon theme and has various figures prawns, noodle, a Maneki-neko/ Lucky Cat (a popular talisman believed to bring good luck and prosperity) a maki sushi and a heart) related to the city of Tokyo, as well as an illustration of a Tokyomon girl. The decals are produced by one of the best decal companies in the world. A special technique is used in its preparation and the structure of the porcelain is non-porous, fine, and has a creamy white color. A special decal, created with the screen-printing technique, is applied to the mug and then fired.
